Original period manufacture. Straight guard, flat birdhead pommel, contoured wood grips and a blue finished blade.The blade is very clean, most of the original blue finish remains, few spots of light oil staining, evidence of old sharpening on the edge, and a few shallow nicks.Steel patina finish remains to the guard and pommel, with a touch of old red garage paint. Clean, original finish wooden grips. Near dent free steel patina finished scabbard, with a very small amount of scattered surface corrosion, and more of the old red paint.
