Original era manufacture. An early production bayonet featuring a blue finished blade, hooked guard, contoured wood grips and a blue finished steel scabbard. The blade displays an even blue/patina mix finish, showing minor scattered discoloration from oil and age, but no damage or pitting from corrosion. Patina finish to the pommel and hooked guard, with original finish wooden grips displaying normal age and wear. Blue steel scabbard with most of its original finish remaining, very light surface denting along its length, with scattered spotting and staining from age.
