Original period manufacture. Type 30 bayonet by Jinsen, with a bright finished blade, hooked guard, flat bird head pommel and contoured wood grips. The blade is clean with scattered areas of staining to the surface, no pitting issues. Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, original finish wood grips darkened from age, displaying minor service use and wear. Sound dark brown leather frog with a single belt loop. Very lightly dented steel scabbard with most of the blue finish remaining and scattered freckling of surface corrosion. Honest, WWII Japanese bayonet.
