Original era manufacture. Bright polished steel blade with a hooked guard and bird head pommel. The blue steel scabbard shows a few, extremely small surface dents and retains most of its original finish with a few areas of scattered surface corrosion. Sound dark brown leather frog with a steel closure buckle. Kokura arsenal marked on the ricasso. The blade is very clean with some light surface peppering from cleaned corrosion. White painted unit or issue number painted on top of the grip tant. Sound example of a popular GI souvenir of the Pacific War.
