Original period manufacture. Type 30 bayonet by Kokura, with a bright finished blade, hooked guard, rounded bird head pommel and contoured wood grips. The blade is clean with scattered areas of old cosmoline residue, and general staining from age, no corrosion issues. Cleaned steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, original finish wood grips displaying honest service use and wear. Rubberized canvas frog with an intact leather securing strap, and attached on one belt loop is a cotton name tag, with the kanji now faded. Mix of corrosion finish and blue to the lightly dented steel scabbard.
