Original period manufacture. A straight guard bayonet manufactured in the Manchurian Mukden Arsenal for the Imperial Army.Bright finished blade without fullers in very nice condition, straight guard, rounded bird-head pommel, contoured wood grips and an all steel scabbard.The blade is clean, showing a nice bright finish, on the obverse, a Mukden arsenal marking can be seen. Mix of blue finish and steel patina on the straight guard and pommel, original finish wood grips showing typical dings and dents from service use.Dent free steel scabbard showing a mix of steel patina and bluing, with minimal surface corrosion.Rubberized canvas frog with an intact securing strap with steel buckle. In spite of having stiffened from age, the belt loops are open and will slip over a belt for display.
