Original era manufacture. Straight guard,rounded bird head pommel, contoured wood grips and a blue finish blade with the Star-K proof of Kaneshiro Sankuganki manufacture. The blade is clean showing a mix of blue and steel patina, with scattered staining and spotting from age. Decent wood grips showing typical age and wear, good finish to the guard and pommel. The blue steel scabbard is very clean with very minor light surface denting, most ocurring on the reverse side. There is some dirt or grease inside the scabbard which causes the blade to stick when fully sheathed. Otherwise it's a clean bayonet from an unusual maker.
