Original era manufacture. Hooked guard, bird-head pommel, bright finished blade. The blade is very clean, just some very light scattered staining, no corrosion. Steel patina to the guard and pommel, decent wood grips with normal minor dings and dents, light chipping around the left side screwpost escutcheon. Scabbard has a nice blue finish, nor serious denting just some light surface scratching near the throat. Purchased from the family of the GI who brought this home from Japan in WWII.
