Original period manufacture. A clean example with a hooked guard, contoured wood grips with a bright finished blade, and rounded bird head pommel.The blade is bright, with typical staining to the finish and several nicks in the cutting edge.Clear markings Kokura Arsenal proof on the ricasso,  blue and steel patina finish to the hooked guard and pommel. Original finish wooden grips, displaying typical marring to the surface.Very nice blue steel finished scabbard, which is dent-free, and retains most of its original finish.
