Original era manufacture. Blue finished blade, straight guard, flat sided birdhead pommel with contoured wooden grips. The blade finish is quite clean with some finish wear near the tip. Original finish grips with typical marring from service use. The pommel has been lightly flattened from being used by an improvident soldier to drive a tent peg or similar. Still will mount on a rifle as we tested it on our office Type-38. Nice blue steel scabbard with a shallow dent on the reverse side.
