Original period manufacture. A very clean example featuring a blue finished blade without fullers, straight guard, flat type birdhead pommel and straight wooden grips. Most of the original finish remains on the blade, guard and pommel, with just a touch of light surface corrosion on the pommel. Extremely small amount of denting to the blue finished scabbard. Nice original finish wood grip plates. A very clean Japanese bayonet.
