Original period manufacture. A clean example featuring a blue finished blade with fullers, straight guard, flat type birdhead pommel andcontoured wooden grips. Mix of original finish and steel patinaremains on the blade, guard and pommel, with just a touch of light surface corrosion on the pommel. Extremely small amount of denting to the blue finished scabbard. Nice original finish wood grip plates. A clean Japanese bayonet displaying normal age and wear.
