Original period manufacture. Blue finished blade, hooked guard, flat bird head pommel with original finish, contoured wood grips.The blade is very clean, with lots of the original blue finish remaining, no corrosion or edge nicks, the point remains sharp. Arsenal sharpened edge. Original finish wood grips with very minor marring,  original blue finish to the guard and pommel, with very minor surface corrosion.    Most of the original finish remains on the scabbard, with a single dent, minimal surface corrosion. A nice example of a WWII Japanese bayonet.
