Original period manufacture. Blue finished blade with fullers on each side,straight guard, contoured wood grips with a flat birdhead pommel. Mix of blue and light surface corrosion finish to the guard and pommel, with a very nice blue steel blade, with a single shallow nick in its cutting edge. Blue steel finished scabbard in very clean condition, which is dent free, intact original rubberized canvas frog, which has stiffened from age, the leather securing strap is sound.
