Original era manufacture. Hooked guard, birdhead pommel, contoured wood grips with a bright finished blade. Mix of steel patina with scattered oil staining and light amount of pitting near the tip from moisture build up, tip is slightly blunted. The entire bayonet has been coated at some point with a black paint, perhaps indicating Navy use. One small dent in the scabbard surface.
