Original period manufacture. A straight guard bayonet manufactured in the Manchurian Mukden Arsenal for the Imperial Army.Blue finished blade, straight guard, rounded bird-head pommel, contoured wood grips and an all steel scabbard. The blade retains a good portion of the original blue finish, with considerable evidence of an inept attempt at sharpening of the cutting edge. A pity really, as the blade was once quite nice. Mix of blue and darke steel patina finish on the straight guard and pommel, original finish wood grips with typical marring and staining. Relatively dent free steel scabbard showing a mix of steel patina and bluing, with scattered patches of light surface corrosion
