Original era manufacture. An early production bayonet featuring a blue finished blade, hooked guard, contoured wood grips and a blue finished scabbard. The blade displays most of its original finish remaining intact, minor discoloration from oil and age, but no damage or pitting from corrosion. Blue patina finish to the pommel and hooked guard, with original finish wooden grips displaying normal age and wear, in the form of scattered marring and denting from service use.  Blue steel patina finish scabbard with minimal denting, light scattered surface corrosion and spotting.
