Original era manufacture. Another example of the smaller contractors of the Type 30 bayonet. Blue finished blade, straight guard, contoured wood grips with a rounded bird-head pommel.The blade displays a mix of blue and  steel patina finish with typical staining but no sharpening or corrosion pitting. The guard is bent slightly towards the pommel, other wise matching finish to the guard and pommel. Original finish wooden grips displaying typical marring from service use. Blue steel mixed with old surface corrosion scabbard, with a single impact mark on the obverse, possibly from a projectile strike.
