Original period manufacture. Early production bayonet, with a blue steel finished blade, hooked guard, rounded bird head pommel and contoured wooden grips. The blade is very clean with clear markings and no issues. Mix of blue and surface corrosion steel patina finish to the guard and pommel. Dark, wooden grips in original finish with light marring and denting to the surface. Mix of blue and surface corrosion steel patina finish on the scabbard, very minimal denting, more felt than seen.  A decent bayonet overall.
