Original era manufacture. A very nice example of the classic WWII Japanese Type 30 bayonet, as used in all theaters by the IJA.Blue finished blade, hooked guard, contoured wood grips, with a rounded, bird-head pommel. Nearly all of the original blue finish remains on the blade, with a pleasing mix of blue and steel patina on the guard and pommel.Original finish wooden grips, displaying minor wear and denting from service use. Nice original blue finish to the steel scabbard, with a single dent on the reverse, with minimal surface corrosion evident.Very sound brown leather frog, tight stitching, nice luster to the leather surface, with a damage-free securing strap and brass buckle.
