Original era manufacture. Hooked guard, rounded bird-head pommel, contoured wood grips and a blue finished blade. The bright finished blade displays some scattered staining from age, no corrosion pitting with a period sharpening, clear arsenal markings on the obverse ricasso, and a few shallow nicks in the cutting edge. Blue finish to the guard and pommel with some very light surface corrosion, original finish wood grips, showing typical marring and some light surface loss near the screw escutcheons. Clean blue steel finished scabbard with a few shallow surface dents on the reverse. Scarce maker.
