Original period manufacture. Straight guard, flat birdhead pommel, contoured wood grips and a blue finished blade.The blade is very clean, most of the original blue finish remains, few spots of light oil staining, no nicks or corrosion issues. Most of the original blue steel finish remains to the guard and pommel, with very nice, original finish wooden grips, displaying very minor marring to the surface.Near dent free blue steel finished scabbard, with a very small amount of scattered surface corrosion.  Overall a very clean example of the Japanese Type 30 bayonet.
