Original era manufacture. Standard pattern bayonet with a straight guard, rounded bird-head pommel, and contoured wooden grips. All of the metal portions of the bayonet have been covered in a black paint, and added to the steel scabbard in red paint is the following; "Philippine Is. Dec. 25 1944". Sound single loop leather frog is in place, showing typical scuffing to its surface from age and handling. A great WWII soldiers relic.
