Original era manufacture. Japanese WWII Type 30 bayonet with rubberized canvas scabbard and frog. Fuller-less blade, straight guard, flat, birdhead pommel and non-contoured wooden grips. The blade exhibits a partial false-edge above the point, with considerable surface pitting along its length. Dark steel patina finish with cleaned surface corrosion, to the guard and pommel. Original finish wooden grips with white painted kanji on the top of the tang.Rubberized fabric scabbard with an integral frog, with the suspension loops displaying the typical break at the top of the body. The blade fits the scabbard properly.
