Original era manufacture. Japanese WWII Type 30 bayonet and metal scabbard. Kokura arsenal mfg.Bright finish blade with fullers, hooked guard, flat birdhead pommel and smooth finish contoured wood grips.The blade is bright with clear markings on the ricasso. Evidence of period arsenal sharpening, no nicks in the cutting edge. Scattered corrosion staining to the surface.  Cleaned steel patina to the guard and pommel with areas of cleaned shallow corrosion pitting. Sound wooden grips with very minor surface denting and staining.Clean blue-steel scabbard with two small deep dents in the body, projectile strike?
