Original era manufacture. Japanese WWII Type 30 bayonet and metal scabbard. Kokura arsenal mfg.Blue finish blade with fullers, hooked guard, rounded birdhead pommel and smooth finish contoured wood grips.The blade is bright and clean with clear markings on the ricasso. Evidence of period arsenal sharpening, no nicks in the cutting edge, the point is slightly rounded. Blue and steel patina to the guard and pommel with areas of cleaned shallow corrosion pitting. Sound wooden grips with very minor surface denting and staining.Relatively dent-free steel scabbard, with a steel patina finish mixed with shallow surface nicks.
