Original era manufacture. Hooked guard, flat birdhead pommel, contoured wood grips, and a bright finished blade, blue finished steel scabbard.The blade is very clean, with minimal staining from age and use, but no real issues. Clean blue and steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, with corrosion issues. Original finish wood grips with minor marring and bumping from service use. Relatively dent-free steel scabbard with most of its original finish remaining.Overall, a very clean example of a WWII Japanese bayonet.
