Original era manufacture. Straight guard, flat birdhead pommel, contoured wood grips, and a blue finished blade, steel patina finished scabbard.The blade is very clean, with minimal staining from age and use, but no real issues. Clean blue and steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, no corrosion issues.Original finish wood grips with minor marring and bumping from service use. Relatively dent-free steel scabbard with a mix of blue and steel patina finish.Overall, a very clean example of a WWII Japanese bayonet.
