Original period manufacture. Straight guard, square pommel, blue finished blade made without fullers.  Most of the original blue finish remains on the blade, no nicks in the cutting edge. Original finish wooden grips showing marring and denting from service use, mostly on one side.  Mix of blue and steel patina finish to the guard and pommel. Blue steel finished scabbard displaying typical denting, minor surface corrosion.
