Original era manufacture. Standard Japanese helmet shell, but modified postwar for use by the armed forces of Thailand. A good deal of the original paint remains on the interior, with splotchy areas on the exterior revealing the blue steel finish beneath. The Japanese chinstrap suspension loops have been removed, and a pair of Thai installed chinstrap loops now grace the interior. Faint Japanese character for size Large remains on the inside of the shell. Good base for a restoration project.
