Original era manufacture. Standard WWII issue Japanese field telephone, with wooden case. The telephone is complete with its handset and crank, and mouthpiece. The case is sound, showing normal age and wear, with a data plate on the front cover, which is dated Showa 20.  The lid locks in position properly, and the front portion of the body will unlock and pivot forward, revealing the internals for maintenance.The cloth wrapped electrical cording is fraying in spots but remarkably pliable for its age. Overall presenting a vintage look but no real damage.
