Original period manufacture. Aluminum grip with a decent amount of the original brown paint finish remaining on the surface, black painted steel collar, with a matching black iron tsuba, with a lock mechanism on the left of the grip.The blade is clean, showing only some light scattered scratching to the surface, mostly along the cutting edge. Serial number 135001 stamped near the guard. Near dent free steel scabbard with with most of its original finish, matching serial number 135001stamped into the top of the scabbard throat.
