Original era manufacture. This is a case where the sword was taken apart, the parts lost, and never recovered, so now is what it is.The blade is straight and clean, showing evidence of old cleaned corrosion pitting, serial number 131170 on the blade. Aluminum grip with traces of the original brown paint in the recesses, copper collar and locking bar are intact. The steel scabbard has a matching serial number to the blade, showing a mix of dark steel patina and original paint finish on the surfaces.
