Original era manufacture.  Typical late war, crude quality of construction with the pommel being pinned to the blade tang. Thin wood grips which are secured with two flush-ground steel rivets. Bright finished blade without any maker or arsenal markings, no fullers on either side with a false edge running 3 inches on the top of the blade. Normal age and wear.
