Original era manufacture. One of the three types of Imperial Japanese wound badges of the WWII era. This example would have been presented to a soldier was wounded in action during his service. Silver with an enameled obverse. Wear and stress cracking to the enameled portion of the arms, double pinback revese with Japanese markings. The badge came in this small bamboo case with with a similar miniature badge but with a different centerpiece.
