Original period manufacture. A very clean example of this Korean made bayonet for the Imperial Japanese Army.Bright finished blade with fullers, hooked guard, contoured wood grips, and a flat, bird-head pommel.The bright finished blade is very clean, no pitting, no corrosion issues, with a period sharpened edge. Mix of blue finish, steel patina and very light surface corrosion, to the hooked guard and pommel, original dark finish to the wooden grip plates displaying scattered marring and denting from service use. The blue steel scabbard is clean, with lots of blue, with some denting on the scabbard sides up near the throat.
