Original period manufacture. Blue finished blade with fullers, hooked guard, contoured wood grips, and a flat, bird-head pommel.All of the metal components of the bayonet display and even cleaned patina finish, with traces of the original blue remaining in the blade fullers. No corrosion issues, it has just been cleaned, but thankfully  no grinding or coarse steel wool marks on the steel.   Original wooden grips, with minor marring and denting.Relatively dent-free scabbard with a cleaned finish.
