Original period manufacture. Flat, bird head pommel, hooked guard, contoured wooden grips, with a blue finished blade with fullers on each side.  The blue finish blade is in very clean condition tapering to a bright finish at the point. Service sharpening to the forward edge of the blade. No corrosion issues. Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, typical service wear to the wooden grips. Blue and steel patina finish to the steel scabbard with scattered surface denting on each side.
