Item #69828 : Original period manufacture. Early production example with the Blut und Ehre! motto on the blade obverse, on the reverse is the popular crouch cat emblem of TIGER, Solingen. The knife exhibits serious kid wear but amazingly it remains sound and in it's proper configuration. The blade has not been ground or overly sharpened, the motto and makers logo both remain clear. Original leather bumper at the base of the blade, the grips are not cracked or chipped, however the enameled HJ emblem has been plundered. Finnish wear to the plating on the steel guard and pommel but no real corrosion issues. Correct pattern steel scabbard with it's original leather belt loop and complete pommel strap. This went through the cataclysm of WWII and came out fairly intact. Cool old knife.
