Original period manufacture. Issue quality hat with original machine sewn insignia on it's front. Trapezoid style wool emblem with wear to the cockade from the back of the buttons. Intact imitation silk hbt pattern lining with numerous clear markings and a date of 10/44.Thin leather, halfmoon shapedsweatbandat front, size marked 54. The hat is clean, no real moth issues, just normal age and wear.
