Original era manufacture. Hand forged straight 12 inch blade mounted to a finely carved indigenous wood grip. The blade is of multiple layers of folded and welded steel which perhaps includes the use of meteoric iron and nickel. The result is an attractive pattern in the blade much like damascus steel. An ancient and much respected weapon from the South Seas. No scabbard.
