Original era manufacture. All steel construction, measuring 11 inches overall, with a 6.5 inch blade, and a 25 mm socket opening at its base.It has a very hand forged look to it, especially in the way the steel laps over itself on the socket. There is a triple ring decoration at the base of the blade shank, which indicates some pride in the making of this old weapon.Dark steel patina finish overall, with pitting in evidence on the blade surface and some nicks in the cutting edge. This thing is old, sorry we cannot be more precise as to age and origin.
