Item #69476 : Original period manufacture. Official Government Form 2-(b.), filled out and signed by Captain Hamilton A. Anderson in May 1865, while the regiment was stationed in Little Rock Arkansas. There are 12 listings to include 3 Springfield rifles, bayonets, wipers, screw drivers, scabbards, cartridge boxes, belt plates and more. Raised in 1861, the 43rd Illinois saw extensive service in the Western Theater of the war, including Shiloh and the Red River Campaign. They were mustered out of service in Little Rock in December 1865. The document is very sound for its age, the writing is very legible.
