King, 42 years of age, occupation listed as physician. The document was issued on 22 June 1899 in Middletown Pa. During the war, this regiment was called the "immunes" as it was mistakenly believed that men from the south would be less subject to the tropical illnesses in Cuba. His service was Honest & Faithful.
