Item #63679 : Original period photography. A 6th plate tintype image of an armed Union cavalryman. Knees-up view, wearing his issue mounted coat with shoulder scales. The photographer did a nice job in coloring the piping and buttons, also the hilt of the sword which he holds in his right hand. Nice clear image with good detail.
