This is a 1/9 plate Ruby Ambrotype in a full case which has come apart at the seam. It does have a hook closure in the center.The table next to this young lady is patterned and tinted. She has on lace gloves which allow her fingers to be free. Her cheeks are tinted. Her pleated dress has a nice pattern and has a brooch fastened in the center at the neck.
