Established 1413, St. Andrews was Scotland's first university, and is still in operation over 600 years later.This sash and badge, honors women graduates, of a special program which allowed female students to study and graduate from afar. The program was established in 1877, and in 1883 the subject range was expanded, with a special sash and badge designed for the graduates.The silk sash with rosette measures 18 inches in length, with a oval shaped 40 x 60 mm badge.Normal age and wear.
