Original period manufacture. A sound example in olive brown wool with magenta wool piping and band. Oil cloth chinstrap secured by rigid-shank brass buttons. Pressed paper visor with a black painted finish. Gray oil cloth sweatband with a dark grey cotton lining with a clear makers stamp visible. Large two piece red star on the front of the band with a separate brass hammer & sickle. Enamel damage to the star as shown. Size about a 56.
