Original era manufacture. M1935 pattern visor hat as worn by officers of the Soviet NKVD. The style of construction places it in the 1940's-50's, blue wool top with dark red wool piping and cap band, enameled brass star at front. The visor is of better quality, being leather covered on each side, instead of the normally seen molded fiber. Rubberized fabric chinstrap, secured with two brass, star embossed buttons.Brown oilcloth sweatband, with a simple gray cotton lining without any markings. Size about a 56-57. Clean, no moth damage.
