Original era manufacture. I have seen this pattern referred to as the M1886,yataghancurved, polished steel blade measuring 23 inches in length, with deeply incised arsenalmarkings on the ricasso.The blade is clean, displaying light staining and no corrosion pitting. Carved wooden grips in sound condition, with a checkered surface. Steel patina finish to the guard and pommel.Black leather bodied scabbard with sound stitching and a steel throat and chape. Normal age and wear overall.
